Newest Hadaki Fall Prints - Just Arrived

FedEx just dropped off the two newest prints from Hadaki -- Arabesque and Arabesque Pebbles in both "Cool Totes" and "Multi-tasking Pod Pouches".

These bags are bright, fun, and durable. The nylon coating lets you wash dirt right off and will stand up to being tossed around as an on-the-go project bag.

The blog has been quiet for the summer, but that doesn't mean new things haven't been coming into the shop!

We should have our sample and pattern ready shortly for a really neat cowl made from the new Fame Trend self striping sock yarn. Look out for another blog post once this is ready (or stop by the shop now to be the first to select your color while we finish up the sample).

Imperial Stock Ranch yarns and fibers will also be arriving next Thursday September 6th. You may have seen these yarns featured in the newest Vogue magazines, at VK Live, and lots of other events. The wool is beautiful, the patterns are modern and stylish, and the company has a great mission to support.

Happy Knitting!

See You Tomorrow!

Lots of Zealana yarn on the shelves. I think the melange colors of the Heron merino possum are my favorite, but the cashmere and silk blends feel really nice!

I also added lots of things to the clearance shelves to make room for the new yarns.

Please stop by, enter the raffle, and touch the yarns. We have comfy couches if you're looking for a little break from your hectic crawl schedule. A talented baker is also making us sheep cake pops!

Have a treat, look around, and sit and knit for a bit...

Enjoy your weekend! Remember to bring your food bank donation!

Rhody Yarn Crawl - April 13-15th

This weekend is the Second Annual Rhody Yarn Crawl!

We are excited to once again be participating in this fun event with special weekend only yarns, sales, and prizes.

We will have extended hours for the event - Friday/Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-4.

Members of our loyalty program will earn Double Points on all purchases during the event. That means $10 in rewards for every $100 in purchases!

We are thrilled to be showcasing a huge selection of yarns, patterns, and sample garments from Zealana. This is the possum fiber yarn everyone has been talking about. You need to feel the sample garments to see how nicely this fiber works up.

Get a chance to feel this amazing fiber in various blends and weights including buttery merino, smooth silk, or soft cotton. We will have stock of Rimu Fingering, Rimu DK, Kauri, Heron, Tui, Kiwi Laceweight, Kiwi Fingering, and Willow.

Some other new items are 35 colors of heathered sport weight wool from Pura Bella Yarns, fun cotton print bags from Hadaki, 28 colors of Angora/Merino blend from Aslan Trends with amazing yardage, Duo self-striping chunky from Swedish Yarns, and more handmade pewter shawl pins and stitch markers.

Other items will be on sale for the weekend only -- including, but not only, Aslan Trends Santa Fe Hand Painted Sock Yarn for $6 (was $9), buy 5 or more skeins of Lite-Lopi for $2 each (was $3.95), and Koala Wool/Alpaca for $3.50 (was $7).

Bring a donation for the RI Food Bank and you'll earn an extra raffle entry.

Please come join us for fun, prizes, snacks, refreshments, and open knitting all weekend long.

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

Catching Up

Lots of new items have come in these past few weeks, but I've been too busy to post updates on the blog.

We now have 34 colors of Kraemer Mauch Chunky in stock. This is a chunky wool that's similar in construction to Lopi, but I find it softer and the heathered color blends are more interesting. It works nicely for outwear and winter accessories and also felts amazingly.

I made a pair of "Snowproof" felted mittens with a knit cuff that you can see in the shop -- the pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry. The yarn felted quickly and easily.

Perfection Chunky - Kraemer has also introduced a chunky weight of their popular Perefection Machine Washable Merino/Acrylic blend. We have all 12 currently available colors in stock. It's soft and squishy.

All colors of Jojoland Rhythm Superwash are now back in stock. Plus we have several new patterns that Jojoland just released. This has been a very popular yarn for us. If you find a large shawl or sweater daunting, Rhythm Superwash is a light worsted weight machine washable wool that works well for hats and mittens too.

Our Cricket Club meeting on October 1st was a success, and many knitters were excited to see how easy and approachable weaving can be with a Schacht Cricket Loom. We have looms, additional heddles (5, 10, 12 ends to the inch), pick up sticks, and carrying bags in stock.

Stay tuned for another post with new products...
